About

We began as a church plant meeting in places like granges and hotels. After a few years of renting places, our small group, along with our sending church, decided to purchase a more permanent location on South Gold Street. The building was most recently used as a chiropractor office and was not much of a church building. The bathrooms were located in the sanctuary. The carpet was old and worn. The building was rather musty - but it was ours, all 5 parking spots and the 1,600 square foot building (You're right, it wasn't much). Looking back on those days it was nothing short of a miracle that people came to church and stuck around. We praise the Lord as He is the one who builds His church - in spite of the obstacles.

In 2010, under Pastor Tim’s leadership, the church officially chartered and began a full remodel of its original building to maximize every square foot. As the church family grew, we expanded to two Sunday morning services—but it wasn’t long before we outgrew the space again. Recognizing God’s clear leading, we relocated in 2014 to our current location. Just 3½ years later, we completed an extensive renovation and constructed our current sanctuary—all completely debt free! With the added space, we were finally able to reunite our church family into one Sunday morning service after five years of holding two morning services.

In January 2022, God led Pastor Tim to a new ministry opportunity serving at a children’s home in Florida. During that time, Centralia Bible Baptist Church called the Assistant Pastor, Andrew Fix to step into the role of lead pastor. Pastor Fix and his family faithfully served the church until November 2024. When it was announced that he would be transitioning, the church extended a call for Pastor Tim to return. He gladly accepted and resumed his role as lead pastor in July 2025.

The church's focus is summarized in our mission: Glorify God, Grow Together and Go to Others. This has been our focus and will continue to be our focus as we move forward.
